NetMission Ambassadors 2017-18

Bonnie Lee (Hong Kong) – Journalism and Communication
Bonnie is an undergraduate student at the School of Journalism and Communication at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has been an active member of our community since she first joined NetMission.Asia in 2017. In April 2018, she has organised and assisted to facilitate the NetMission Boost Camp at 078 Kobe Fest. She has also dedicated her time and effort in the design of the graphic materials for Hong Kong Youth IGF 2018 and other events organised by the NetMission team. With her strong interest in Human Rights Online, Bonnie continues her engagement in Internet Governance by contributing to the NetMission working groups (WGs), including the Creative Media WG and the Asia Pacific YIGF Steering Group. On top of Internet governance, she is passionate about sports and drama, and she is currently interning at UNAIDS in Vietnam.


Christian Karlos Pua (The Philippines) – Liberal Studies Education
Christian is the final-year student of the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies Education program at the Education University of Hong Kong. He is the student representative of his faculty and the former promotion secretary of the Intercultural society of the Education University of Hong Kong. Christian is passionate about Human Rights online and international cooperation on cybersecurity. In 2018, Christian went to Canada for an internship at an NGO, ALPHA Education.


Edward Choi (Hong Kong) – Government and Public Administration
Edward has started getting involved in Internet governance in 2017 by joining Hong Kong Youth IGF (HKyIGF) 2017. He has continued his Internet governance journey by joining the NetMission Program in the same year and later on, he attended the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2017 in Geneva as a representative of HKyIGF. Edward is passionate about Internet governance and he has been actively contributing to our community since then by being one of the organisers for HKyIGF 2018 and Asia Pacific YIGF 2018 in Vanuatu.


Jenna Fung (Hong Kong) – Business Administration
Jenna is the youth engagement lead of DotAsia Organisation who is in charge of the youth program, NetMission Academy. She has been involved in community service and youth development in the non-profit sector since 2013. She initially joined NetMission.Asia in 2017 as NetMission Ambassador. She has been involved in a variety of educational projects and youth participation in Youth Internet Governance Forum in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Regions, such as APrIGF, Asia Pacific Youth IGF, Hong Kong Youth IGF, APIGA and etc. She is also one of the organisers of the 078KobeFest Internet Governance Youth Camp and Youth Internet Governance Forum (yIGF) in Asia Pacific region (APrIGF) in 2018 and 2019. She is passionate about social innovation and cultural exchange and highly interested in youth mobility. She has been interned in different fields including business management, company secretarial services, and marketing and public relations in Beijing, Hong Kong and Seville. In her personal life, she enjoys language learning, reading and traveling.


Ming Yip (Hong Kong), Laws
Ming is one of the active ambassadors in the NetMission Program of class 2017/18. He has represented NetMission as the youth facilitator in Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA 2018 in Seoul. He is also one of the representatives at Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) 2018 and the organiser of the Asia Pacific YIGF 2018 in Vanuatu.


Silver Ng (Hong Kong) – Business Administration
Silver is an undergraduate student of Business Administration at The University of Hong Kong. He has been an active member of the Internet governance community since he first joined NetMission.Asia in 2017. He continues to contribute to the NetMission Program by joining the NetMission working group to prepare for Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) 2019. He then attended APIGA 2019 as NetMission ambassador and the youth facilitator of the Academy.


Sky Lai (Hong Kong) – Journalism & Communication
Sky has first joined NetMission.Asia in 2017 as one of the ambassadors. He continues his contribution to the community by joining our public engagement team as a voluntary alumnus and being one of the organisers of Hong Kong Youth IGF 2018. He is passionate about Internet accessibility and Information accessibility, especially for those in developing countries, and a big fan of technologies and the gig economy. After graduating from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018, he has started his career as a digital & data consultant.
