Aung Si Kyaw was born and raised in Kyauktaw, Rakhine State, Myanmar. Previously he attended the Yangon University of Economics majoring in Commerce. Now, he enrolls at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University for his undergraduate studies. He is passionate and enthusiastic about working with youths and people who have goals for community development. Among Internet Governance topics, human rights online and youths empowerment are the most interesting topics for him. He is also a fellow of APSIG – APrIGF joint fellowship 2022 and now participating in IGF-related events and exploring new learnings in Internet Governance.

Amsha Rathnayake is an energetic and enthusiastic individual from Sri Lanka who relishes a challenge and accomplishing goals. She graduated in 2022 from the University Of Sri Jayewardhenepura in the department of Information and Communication Technology. Currently, she is working as a Project Manager at Axiata Digital Labs in Sri Lanka, where she has gained experience involving a number of projects related to Digital transformation in Sri Lanka.

Amasha participated in APISIG 2021 and YIGF 2022. She was also selected for Netmission Academy in 2023. She loves travelling, gathering new experiences, networking with young people in the IG sector of the Asia-Pacific region, and sharing her knowledge.

Ananya Mallick is a graduate of Swinburne University of Technology in Marketing. She comes from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is passionate about sustainable development and internet governance. Her interest in the Internet-governance issues primarily lies in digital human rights. During her journey with NetMission Academy, she contributed to the issue of how deepfake technology violates human rights. She wants to continue researching and writing about online human rights to make people aware of it to make the digital space safe for everyone. She expresses that the workshops and discussions held in the NetMission Academy have enriched her knowledge and understanding of issues concerning the world of the Internet. It has helped her to take one more step to become a world citizen. She believes more programs and events should be created like this to build mindful citizens all over the world and NetMission Academy Ambassador Program is certainly a pioneer in such initiatives.

Arevik Martirosyan is a Research Associate and Ph.D. candidate at the Russian Diplomatic Academy, head of the scientific and educational project “International Information Security School”, which is accredited by the UN Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) on Developments in the Field of Information and Telecommunications in the Context of International Security. She graduated from graduate school (International Law), a Master’s degree (International Law), Bachelor’s degree (International Relations) from the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; UN-Singapore Cybersecurity Fellowship at the National University of Singapore and advanced program “Internet governance policies” at Saint Petersburg State University.

She is the Internet Government Forum Youth Ambassador 2022 and the winner of the nomination “For Contribution to international cooperation in IT” within the framework of the Second Russian Youth Forum on Internet Governance.
She is one of the representatives of young Russian Internet Governance specialists and a member of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Russian Association of International Law and the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Diplomatic Academy. As a Project officer United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Russia she researches Internet governance and its connection with the SDGs.


Aushim Merchant is a Thai-Australian passionate about net neutrality and equity in access to the internet. He has won numerous fellowships in his career in renewable energy and has participated in prestigious international exchange programs across the world. During the Net Mission Academy, he completed several sessions on a range of topics related to the topic of internet governance.


Ayesha Noor Fatima is a feminist activist from Islamabad, Pakistan with an educational background in marketing and management. She is currently working at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan. Previously, she contributed to national youth policy and hosted radio programs on peace and inclusion. She worked for Harvard-funded social enterprise-Saving9, where her marketing plan elicited donations worth 6.4 million Rupees for launching Asia’s first mental health ambulance led by women. She also developed the ‘Women supporting women’ program and educational campaigns on GBV and climate action for nonprofits CAMAAY, and CAEPA, in Cameroon. She received recognition from global Changemakers for reaching out to 5800+ youth worldwide in promoting global citizenship. During the Netmission academy 2023, she gained valuable exposure and insights regarding internet governance and eco-system. She is passionate about safeguarding human rights online and launching various interventions to ensure safer internet for everyone.


Ayesha Siddika is an undergraduate student of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil University who lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is passionate about ensuring the internet for all citizens of Bangladesh. She wants to bring transparency and accountability to internet governance in Bangladesh. She won a fellowship and completed several sessions on a range of topics related to the internet at Net Mission Academy. During this fellowship, Ayesha had the opportunity to learn about the Internet Governance Ecosystem, internet infrastructure, access and empowerment, human rights online, cybersecurity, privacy and safer internet, digital economy and emerging technologies, diversity, inclusion and sustainability on the internet, and ICANN policies.


Faisal Ahmed Bhubon has been actively working with internet-related issues for six years. Bhubon became involved with the Bangladesh Youth Internet Governance Forum and served as the secretary general of the organization. In 2017, he was selected as a fellow of the Bangladesh School of Internet Governance. Bhubon is in his last semester (2019-2023) of an undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering from American International University Bangladesh. He is from “Puran Dhaka,” an old city in Bangladesh. As his journey progressed, Bhubon felt a growing need to be more involved in internet governance issues at the local and regional levels. He also desired to be more active in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF). As a result, he joined the technical teams of several organizations, including BIGF, Youth IGF, Kids IGF Bangladesh, and bdSIG.

Emmanuel Mirus S. Ponon is a 21-year-old youth advocate, changemaker, resource speaker, and development worker who recently completed his Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from De La Salle University Manila. From graduating with flying colors as a Magna Cum Laude and the Most Outstanding Student Leader, he is currently working as the Founder and CEO of the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network, and the National Coordinator at Student Catholic Action of the Philippines.

He was the Head Delegate of the Philippines in APEC Voices of the Future 2022, listed as part of the Common Purpose Global Legacy 25 Under 25, United Nations Asia and the Pacific 30 for 2030, a recipient of the Youth Empowerment Facilitation Young Global Changemakers Award, a Global Teen Leader of the We Are Family Foundation, and he is a youth council member in World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines. Apart from being a youth coach of the Ministry of Youth in the Philippines and the Chairperson for Active Citizenship at the Manila Youth Development Council, he also serves as a co-founder and adviser of Youth Advocates for the Philippines, State of Youth Paranaque, and the Deputy Executive Director of Experto PlayLabs International Consultancy.


Fatima Rezaie is a senior Political Studies and Public Administration student at the American University of Beirut. She was born and raised in Herat, Afghanistan. She has an energetic and lively spirit character and is super passionate about human rights, advocacy, public policy, and humanitarian action along with merging them with technology and the internet for a greater positive impact. Her interest in internet governance started when she attended the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy in Seoul, South Korea which gave her the opportunity to explore the world of Internet Governance (IG). NetMission Academy broadened her perspective on her field of expertise (politics) and equipped her with knowledge on Human Rights Online, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Safer Internet, Access and Empowerment, and Digital Economy.


Harisa Shahid is a senior year undergraduate student at the University of Engineering & Technology, (UET) Lahore in Pakistan. There she pursues a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a major in Computing. She is also the General Secretary of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) UET Chapter. Additionally, she is also a public speaker and is currently the Student Advisor for Debate Affairs at the Model United Nations Society in UET Lahore.

Iqra Ejaz Bhatti hails from the beautiful city of Quetta in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. She is a sophomore-year student of Electrical Engineering at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore. Currently, she is serving as an executive member of IEEE in UET Lahore, Pakistan chapter, also she is leading the role of singer in the music society of UET Lahore, Pakistan.

She is a strong supporter of digitalization across the border and that means transforming economies and bringing in more opportunities. She is also interested in seeing emerging technologies like Web 3.0 make their place in the world of today and tomorrow.

Kalpesh Chaudhari is from Maharashtra state of India. He has done his Master’s Degree in Political Science and now he is pursuing doctoral research in Electronic Governance at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has performed research on the e-governance participation of the transgender community in the state of Maharashtra. Furthermore, he is passionate about ensuring digital services to the last person in society and wants to ensure the internet should be sustainable, affordable and easily accessible to the disadvantaged people of society. He attended ICANN @75 as NextGen Participant which was held in Kuala Lumpur.


Mahratun Samha is a Bangladeshi student who has completed her undergraduate coursework in Sociology discipline from the University of Dhaka. She is a self-motivated learner who joined the NetMission Academy 2023 program to explore the social aspect of E-Governance and its impacts on a community as well as a society. As she is from Dhaka city, she observes the cultural transition regarding the internet and connectivity in a developing urban region. Journey with NetMission Academy helped her to understand the micro-level effects of E-Governance and how to make internet governance more sustainable.


Nattaya Jaratruangsaeng is a postgraduate student majoring in Doctor of Medicine after attaining her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Management (Honors program) at the Ateneo de Manila University. She is based in Metro Manila, Philippines where she continues to engage herself in various projects and events relating to digital connectivity and digital health transformation.


Nimrah Perveen is a Software engineer. She has completed 2 years of graduation in Math and 4 years of bachelor’s in Software Engineering & pursuing her master’s in Mass Communication. She has maintained a full scholarship during her bachelor’s. She is the Founder of KleanArth which is a waste management-based venture. Her project got selected for the Prime Minister Youth Innovation Award 2023. She was also selected as a finalist in Savvy Prize 2023. She is working as a Developer in the NEP of NICs, PITB.
She was the team leader in Entrepreneurship-101 at Saarland University, Germany.

Palak Jain is a first-year Master’s Degree student of History at Delhi University, India. She wishes to pursue research. She is interested in promoting online-media literacy, tackling disinformation, and, bridging the digital divide. Palak is currently working with UNESCO MGIEP to inculcate mindful digital practices among youth and educators. She is deeply passionate about issues related to internet accessibility and safety for marginalized groups. She takes a great interest in reading, watching movies, and creating art.


Paribhasha Pradhan is currently pursuing her Masters’s Degree in IT and Applied Security with a specialization in Cybersecurity at Islington College, Nepal in partnership with London Metropolitan University, UK. She received her Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Computing (Computer Network Engineering) with First-Class Honors from Naaya Aayam Multi-Disciplinary Institute (NAMI College), Nepal in partnership with the University of Northampton, UK. She is working as an Academic Tutor and Module Leader to BSc IT students at Islington College. She is an active member of the Computer Association Nepal (CAN) and a member of yIGF Nepal. She had received fellowships from the APNIC 52 online fellowship, APSIG 2021 fellowship, and APNIC 54 fellowship. And since then her journey to Internet Governance started. She is passionate about understanding the complexities of the internet and how it impacts our lives.


Pavithra Madushanka is an MPhil/PhD student in Computing from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Sri Lanka. She works as a Lecturer in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computing, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Sri Lanka. She graduated with a Master’s in Computer Science and also BSc(Hons) in Computer Science from Sri Lanka.

She grabbed the chance to develop her path in academia by engaging in different kinds of research. She is curious and passionate about cybersecurity, Privacy and policymaking, and aims to create an Internet that is a safer place for everyone.


Riad Hasan Badsha is a young man who is passionate about internet technology. He graduated from Bangladesh Open University with a diploma in computer science and application and is originally from Gaibandha, Bangladesh. Professionally, he is involved in computer networking, and his skills are also tech-focused, so he joined the Bangladesh IGF community as an active volunteer, and he is currently the vice-chair of the Bangladesh Youth IGF. He is especially passionate about net neutrality, the principle that all internet traffic should be treated equally, without discrimination or preferential treatment. Net neutrality ensures that everyone, regardless of location or financial status, has equal access to the same information and opportunities on the internet.

Savadogo Yassine Homere Auguste is a citizen of Burkina Faso who is currently residing in India, where he is studying as a first-year student at Parul University in Gujarat state. Yunsol Shin is a citizen of South Korea and a junior in the Department of Information Security at Seoul Women’s University. She is working as a first-term student at Seoul Women’s University’s Information Security Talent Development Group to study deeply about information security issues arising on the Internet. She wants many people to live in a safe cyber world and is studying about it.

After learning about cybersecurity technology at school, she became interested in Internet governance and began studying Internet governance by participating in Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy.
