The NetMission Academy is a series of online sessions designed to equip youth with the knowledge and discussion skills to participate in Internet policymaking. The program includes 10 sessions and a closing ceremony. These 1.5-hour workshops will be interactive discussion sessions, with expert guest speakers selected for each topic.
This online academy is not a one-sided learning program. Selected fellows will be assigned into thematic groups to research and prepare for the respective session as hosts. All fellows are expected to actively contribute to discussions. We are looking for young visionaries who want to make a change for the betterment of the Internet and our community. If you are a student currently enrolled in any tertiary institution within the Asia Pacific, aged between 18 and 30, and are interested in how the Internet impacts society, this is the program for you.

Becoming NetMission Ambassadors
Upon completion of the program, we offer motivated individuals a chance to further advance their understanding of Internet governance. Graduates of the academy will become NetMission Ambassadors, and work together with other NetMission alumni as a team to contribute to the Internet governance community through working groups, conference activities, and youth events.
Those who are passionate about creating an impact with collaborative effort may continue their participation in our network by joining any of the following initiatives:
Join Our Working Groups Working group members shall kick-start by defining their own goals and the impact that they want to create. Members can participate in policy processes and advocacy, develop toolkits and educational materials, organize local initiatives, or join the NetMission Academy Organizing Committee (Formerly called Buddy Scheme) to help nurture ambassadors of the next cohort.
Become an Event Organizing Committee Member As part of our Internet Governance youth engagement work, NetMission Ambassadors have a strong presence at regional Internet Governance conferences. This includes APIGA, APrIGF, ICANN, and IGF. NetMission Ambassadors will have the chance to apply for the demanding role of organizing and hosting youth activities at some of these events which involves moderating a policy discussion dialogue. A separate process will be initiated for recruiting the organizing committees for respective events.
Submit Workshop Proposals and Inputs to Public Consultations NetMission alumni initiate submissions of workshop proposals to APrIGF and IGF every year. We support all the initiatives by leveraging our network of connections at regional and global levels. Alumni will also get the opportunities to spearhead our involvement in various Internet governance processes and contribute to public consultations on digital issues on behalf of NetMission.Asia as a youth initiative.
Fellowship Application Support One of the goals of the Academy is to help our ambassadors and alumni grow to another role in the Internet governance community. We could provide advisory support on your application to different fellowship programs, for example, APrIGF Fellowship, APIGA, NextGen@ICANN, ICANN Fellowship Program, APNIC Fellowship Program, IGF Youth Ambassador Program, etc.
If you are a student currently enrolled in any tertiary institution within the Asia Pacific and want to make a change for the betterment of the Internet, this is the program for you.
